Services
We will repair your Lionel Train or any other manufacturer, Pre War, Post War or Modern Era. Lionel warranty items are not a problem, even if it was not purchased through us. Whether you need the brushes replaced or a complete engine rebuild, we can replace wheels and bearings, rebuild smoke units and E-Units. All service work comes with a 90 day warranty.
Installation of Command Control and Sounds is a great way to have more fun with your trains. Engines can be controlled from your Cab 1 or Legacy's Cab 2. For you do it yourselfer's, we sell kits that come with the necessary items including an installation manual so you can install it yourself. All kits must run with trains that have AC Current running to your track. They can have either AC motors or DC Can Motors.
We have kits to control your accessories from your Lionel Cab-1 or Cab-2. Easy installation and simple to operate.
We have parts so you can fix your own train. Thousands of parts in stock or we can usually find what you need within a few days.
We sell engines from other manufacturers that already have Command Control installed with Sounds. Each one comes with a 90 Day Warranty on Parts and Labor for the Command Control and Sound kit.
The DC Commander is for locomotives equipped with single or dual DC Can Motors up tp 8 AMPS. Cab-1 selectable 32 or 100 Speed Steps, uses Lionel's R2LC to be fully compliant with TMCC Standards. This will control the engine in TMCC or Conventional Control. In Command Mode, it will control sounds, coil couplers, smoke unit and lights if equipped. Also runs in Conventional Mode. Small footprint to fit in almost any size locomotive. 2.75" L x 1.25" W x 1.15" H.We recommend a tether when installing this kit with a sound kit. Tethers are sold separately.

The Cruise Commander is for locomotives that have DC Can Motors. This kit also adds Cruise Control to maintain speeds up and down grades. Simple Tach-Less operation. No flywheel needed to have cruise control. Single or dual DC Motors up to 8 AMPS. Cab-1 selectable 32 or 100 speed steps. In Command Mode it will control lights, coil couplers, sounds and smoke unit if equipped. Also runs in Conventional Mode. Small footprint to fit in almost any size locomotive. 2.75" L x 1.25" W x 1.15" H.We recommend a tether when installing this kit with a sound kit. Tethers are sold separately.

The Cruise Commander M is for locomotives that have DC Can Motors and are already equipped with Lionel's TMCC Command Control but do not have Cruise Control. This replaces the motor driver board on engines that were built by other manufacturers and will give you cruise control to maintain speeds up and down grades. There are different kits depending on the board that is in the engine. Please let us know what you have before you order the board as there are different boards and prices for each locomotive.- $

This is the Mini Commander 2. Designed for small DC Can Motor locomotives like the Polar Express, Harry Potter Hogwarts Express, The General Steam Engine and many other locomotives. This will give you control of the lights, sound and smoke if equipped. The footprint is 1" W x 2" L x .6" H. This fits in many small engines with DC Can Motors. Will also run in Conventional Mode. A tether comes in the kit for steam applications.- $

This is the Railsounds Commander 4.0 The sound kit is compact and will fit in most engines. Sounds can be added to any of our TMCC Command Kits to give you authentic sounds for steam or diesel or electric engine. Multiple trigger options for chuff and diesel ramp up or down. Provisions for battery and Railsounds/Signal Sounds switch. Fully compliant with TMCC standards. Footprint is 1.95" L x 1.25" W x .95" H. Steam sounds are Whistle, Bell, Coupler Clank, Chuff, Sutdown sequence, Crew Talk and Tower Communication. Steam sound kits are Atlantic, Northern, Articulated, SP Daylight and Generic Steam.Diesel sounds are Horn, Bell, Coupler Clank, Diesel Ramp up or down, shutdown sequence,Crew Talk and Tower Communication. Diesel Sound kits are GP7/9, F3/F7, E8/E9, Alco, C420 and Generic Diesel.
There is also a kit for an Electric engine GG-1/ EP5.
These kits will work in Conventional Mode. You can add sounds to an engine that does not have sounds or you may wish to upgrade an engine that just has a whistle or Sound of Steam. This sound kit will work with your transformers whistle and bell buttons or Lionel's Sound Activation Buttons.

This is an 8 pin tether that is needed when installing a Command and Sound kit in the tender. This will electrically connect the electronics in the tender to the components in the engine. Tether comes with a loom to conceal the wires. Can be ordered with 2,4,6,8 or 10 pin configuration.- $

This is a Coil Coupler. When running an engine in Command Mode, you can open the coupler anywhere on the layout. Comes in two different sizes. Please measure from end to end with the coupler closed. Sizes are 1.75" and 2". When ordering please state the length needed. If you purchase more than one, we will refund half of the shipping charge on the second coil coupler.- $
